This ActivInspire Flipchart created by Laura Stegmann can instruct both teacher and students on how to do the multiplication trick for the 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10's facts with their fingers. This idea has been floating around on Pinterest and I haven't been able to find the original developer of the idea, but I needed a visual to use with my students on how this trick works. Simply explaining it to them using my own hands didn't work. By including hands on the flipchart that the teacher can use to model and manipulate for and with the students, my kiddos picked up this trick in a flash! Now those facts that were hard for my kids to remember (6x7, 7x8, 6x8, 6x9, 7x7, 8x8, 8x9, etc.) are now a little bit easier for them by using this trick!
