Description
Steady Beat vs. Rhythm (ta and titi) Printables - Perfect for the Kodaly inspired elementary music room!
These worksheets could be projected onto the board, printed out for each student or printed on card stock, laminate and have students use vis a vis markers for a fast assessment that you can wipe away and use again the next day, week, month, year!
Although I have updated the set, I have left the old set in the download in case the simplicity works better for any of your classes.
The old set includes 44 pages, some are for beat tracking, some to tap the rhythm or "the way the words go". others are for writing the rhythms to known songs and chants, others are for rhythm dictation. Slides for tapping the way the words go contain icons for rhythm, not standard rhythmic notation.
The new set includes 83 pages, some are for beat tracking on icons or hearts, rhythm tracking and rhythm writing. None of these pages have standard notation, but it can be notated on one page for each of the songs. These pages can be used with any system for reading rhythms.
Songs include:
Apple Tree
Bee Bee Bumblebee
Bounce High Bounce Low
Engine Engine Number Night
I Climbed Up the Apple Tree
Lucy Locket
Queen Queen Caroline
Rain Rain Go Away
See Saw Up and Down
Snail, Snail
Starlight, Starbright
