I teach 2nd grade, and it seemed like EVERY time I sat down for Reading Groups, I would look up and see a line of students waiting for me. "Where does this go?" "What do I do now?" "Can I write in marker?" Does this sound familiar? ;)
Once I switched from standard rotations to this Must Do May Do system, I have eliminated noisy transitions, off-task behaviors from students not knowing what they were supposed to do, and incorporated more student choice and ownership into my classroom (which increases engagement, and motivation!) with these products.
Each one of these products is a different component of the system. They work alright as one, but are strongest when paired together! Kind of like chocolate and peanut butter. They're both fine on their own, but I'd rather have them together in a Reeses Cup. :)
