"Nothing Gold Can Stay" Activity

This lesson on gratitude is ideal for the days leading up to the Thanksgiving break; however, if you ask students to cut out their own leaves (or create other symbols...), you can use it all year long! This activity leads students through one of Robert Frost's most well-loved poems, offers a chance to explore figurative language, and creates community and empathy by honoring student experience.
