Description

Close Reading: Ocean Animals- This 80 page product contains 20 ocean-themed non-fiction close reading passages with evidence-based questioning to go with each. Each passage is lexile leveled into 2 reading levels and also has a QR code which sends your students to a safe educational video on that animal. Great to use as a whole group lesson or in small group reading.

This product contains:
-20 ocean animal passages w/ QR codes
-Each article comes with a cover page, 2 leveled passages, 2 formats (1/2 page, whole page), QR code, and comprehension questions
-6 extra graphic organizers (can be used with any article)


The articles are about the following topics:
-Hermit Crabs
-Starfish
-Dolphins
-Life Cycle of a Sea Turtle
-Jellyfish
-Seahorses
-Orcas
-Blue Whales
-Hammerhead Sharks
-Seals

I introduce the product with examples of how I use the articles in my personal classroom.
