These PowerPoints meet Indicator 13 requirements and offer federally mandated transition skills to students with special needs. They are designed for non-readers and readers alike, yet, like the original workbooks, are geared toward the sensibilities and maturity of teens and young adults. Each lesson is taken from the original workbook, Everyday Manners. Each 1-2 page lesson in the workbook has been expanded to a 15-25 slide PowerPoint presentation with audio narration for additional clarity and understanding. It includes:

  • Simple, yet engaging slides written on a 3rd/4th grade level.
  • Illustrations on every slide to keep students engaged.
  • Voice narration of each slide with teacher-controlled click ability to allow for differing processing times.
  • One concept per page format whenever possible.
  • Interactive comprehension exercises built into the presentation with answers provided instantly.

Each lesson listed above is sold separately but can be purchased here at a discount and includes everything you need to create a complete transition program:

  • The original 48-page Everyday Manners workbook.
  • All 15 PowerPoint presentations
  • A 58-page Teacher’s Manual with:
  • Program Implementation Checklist
  • Pre- and Post-Assessments
  • Federal transition codes for topic covered
  • Written ITP goals for the topic
  • Parent involvement letter to meet Family Participation mandates
  • Class grade sheet
  • Black line masters for all PowerPoint quizzes
  • Extensions for each lesson

To get a feel of the original Daily Living Skills series, download the free workbook, Doing Laundry, to see if the program will work for your students. Sample this PowerPoint program by downloading “Greetings” for free on this site. And, keep checking back. We’ll keep working on expanding each book in the series into PowerPoint presentations such as this—it’s just very time-consuming. Also remember, you can earn credits with TpT by rating this product.
