    Description

These paired passages are perfect to work on reading comprehension and compare and contrast standards. There are 84 different passages that have paired themes for the entire school year. These no prep activities would be great for whole group, small group, or independent practice for your fluent readers. After reading the passage, students work on answering the questions provided and illustrating a piece of the passage. They could reread the passages for fluency practice as well. Once both passages are read and completed, students can use the Venn diagram that is provided to compare both passages. Students can write the similarities and differences or cut and paste the given words onto the sorting mat.
