What educators are saying
I used this as a sub day project. The students were so creative and they did a wonderful job. It was something easy and a good review to leave when I wasn't here.
I usually use a different town project. I made the buildings into stickers for the kids to use. I loved that they had to create their own town.
Description
This product is a ready to use project on Parallel Lines Cut by a Transversal! If you're tired of using the same boring worksheets every day, this is the product for you! This product includes parallel lines, transversals, alternate-exterior angles, alternate-interior angles, same-side interior angles, corresponding angles, supplementary angles, and vertical angels. The product is divided into two parts:
Part One:
Students will be given a blank map of "Transversal Town" and ten clues. Using the clues, students will have glue the places of the town in the correct spots. The clues will use vocabulary terms such as "The pizza restaurant and the police station are vertical angles."
Part Two:
Students will design their own town that looks like parallel lines cut by a transversal. They will have to draw a map, brainstorm names and places, and create ten clues using geometry terminology.
My students absolutely loved creating their own towns and I hope yours do too!
