To understand how elements interact with one another in predictable ways, it is important for students to understand at a base level the elements on the Periodic Table. This fun, short, and easy research project guides students through a quick research project on an element on the Periodic Table. Students then construct a multi-slide presentation and share their new knowledge with their peers.
Students will Research:
•The element at a glance including symbol, placement on the Periodic Table,
number of protons, etc.
•Characteristics of the element
•Why the element is used
•The history of the element including who and when the element was discovered.
•Interesting or fun facts
•Drawing a model of the atom
