What educators are saying

This was a hit in my room! My students absolutely loved participating in this and my admins loved come to be the "sharks"!
My students loved using this resource! They were engaged in the resource and had no trouble getting started. It didn't take much time to prepare this resource, so it was easy for me to use in a time crunch.

Description

This product includes: financial literacy vocabulary cards with terms and definitions, step by step packet to create a business, checklists to ensure each step is satisfied, exemplars, links to kid appropriate shark tank videos, and a grading rubric for the final presentation.

Students will be asked to create a GOOD or a SERVICE and figure out what problem it solves or how it improves on a product that is already established. They will have to think about why their product is better than other products available, why consumers would be interested in buying it, and how that would correlate to investors making money off this product.

--They will have to research and find the natural resources, human resources, and capital needed to bring this good or service to market.

--They will create slogans, logos, and buzz words to market their product.

--They will draw a diagram of their good or illustrate their service in action.

--They will create a poster to market their product (example provided)

--They will write a pitch to present to the class (investors/sharks) trying to persuade them to invest in their product.

--Includes a rubric for grading and guiding students on their presentations as well as "signs" for your sharks (class) to hold up after each presentation to signal whether or not they would invest in the product :).
