Description

Guided notes, practice problems, quiz, and Poly-Me project will help you teach polygons to your geometry students. The guided notes helps them make the connection between the number of sides of a polygon and the number of triangles that can be formed from one of its vertex, giving rise to the formula (n - 2)180. It also includes several practice problems they can do with a partner and a short quiz you can give to assess understanding. Answer keys are included.

The Poly-Me project is a great way for students to showcase a little bit about themselves and you can display it around your classroom. It has the students write their first name and depending on the number of letters their first name has, that's the polygon they will create. Follow up questions are included as well as a rubric for easy grading.
