Reader's Theater Play Script: The Nutcracker

E.T.A. Hoffmann's timeless story "The Nutcracker and the Mouse-King" has inspired many adaptations and a ballet. Now, students can play the parts of the Nutcracker, Mouse King, and Sugar Plum Fairy in this new take on a holiday favorite. This Reader's Theater script features eight speaking parts in a three-act play format.

This script can be used for classroom read alouds, classroom performances, or can be easily adapted for a Christmas play on the stage.
