Reading Comprehension Passages - First Second Grade

This pack features 30 Different Comprehension Passages. It includes a number of question types throughout such as multiple choice, open-ended, inferential and opinion.

It also includes a “My Comprehension Guide” which you can print on colored paper and laminate. The guide is designed to break down the process of completing Comprehension Passages.

The printables also feature 3 stars at the top of each passage. The purpose of this is for students to read the passage THREE times and to color a star after each reading.

The printables vary in topics to keep it interesting for students. I have included factual passages (e.g. information about animals) as well as recounts and short stories.

The passages are suited to higher ability first grade students and lower ability second grade students.
