SLP to SLP: Language Intervention Session Activities - Seasonal Changes: Summer

Calling all school SLPs! Do you need ready-to-use intervention materials for your language groups? Are you running out of ideas or don't have the time to make the resources? If this sounds familiar, this oral language intervention session package is perfect for you! The materials are suitable for individual and group sessions. The package includes all activities for an ENTIRE S-L session, from start to finish! The resources are also perfect for private SLPs who work with children with oral language needs (e.g., poor vocabulary, weak grammar and sentence structure, etc.).

This package focuses on summer. The activities for this session target making requests and asking and answering 'wh' questions. The activities also reinforce topic-related vocabulary.

• Mini book to introduce the topic
• Receptive Language Activity: A board game: summer edition to practice answering 'wh' questions
• Expressive Language Activity: A build-an-ice-cream activity to practice making requests
• Parent letter with useful language strategy 

The resources work well with students from K to grade 3 who have communication needs (e.g., language delays, language impairment, Autism, etc.).

This resource reflects my speech and language background as well as my extensive experience (over 20 years!) as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist.
