Description

This activity is design for students who struggle understanding and using sarcasm. This activity includes explicit instruction relating to the use of context, tone of voice, and non-verbal language cues to help students analyze and interpret sarcasm. Activity includes: instruction, discussion prompting questions, context based instruction and questions, and an extension activity to help deepen the understanding of sarcasm.

These activities encourage the use of self talk, building executive functions and strengthening social skills.

This activity is great for social skill groups or homeroom discussions.
