Increase sentence fluency, sight words, and CVC fluency with this fun phonics game! Your students will love going on a nature hunt and smashing CVC words with this activity and will get practice with sight words, sentence fluency, and CVC words!
Students choose a sentence card and read the sentence. They go on a nature hunt to find the word on the smash mat that matches the CVC picture and smash it with a small ball of playdough. Then they write the word on their recording sheet under the correct picture.
The sight word / CVC sentence cards all follow one of the following five sentence patterns followed by a CVC picture.

Includes 20 sentence cards and two recording sheet options. You can choose to have students trace the CVC word or write the CVC word.
