Description
Ahoy, Mateys! This product is an interactive multiple choice-style game to help with the categorization of the instrumental families. There are 28 instrument options with fun graphics and the opportunity to seamlessly restart the game again once it is finished.
Students are presented with an instrument image, and are then asked to select the chest with the correct family name. If they choose correctly, the slide will say, "Aye! Collect ye' Treasure!" and the student will be prompted to go to the next slide. If the child chooses incorrectly, they will be greeted with an image that says, "Walk the Plank!" and they will have an opportunity to choose again. At the end of the game, students can begin the game again by clicking the treasure chest.
Feel free to develop your own game rules by playing as a class in teams, or having students play in groups, should you have the technology available.
There are three versions of the game included with this download:
-Presentations: Keynote (Mac Only) and PowerPoint (Mac or PC)
-PDF File
Use the PDF version on your mobile device or tablet! If using the iPhone or iPad, the PDF file will work very well when opened with iBooks.
If using the PDF on a computer, best results will be achieved by using Adobe Reader (free download available). Stock PDF software on your computer will work, but is not recommended for use.
