Description
Perfect for pre-school, kindergarten, or first grade, these social skills stories teach about important school rules, routines and procedures including sitting on the carpet, walking in the hallway, using school supplies responsibly, washing hands, following directions, and coping with separation anxiety/missing parents. These are ideal for teaching classroom expectations and rules at back to school time! I highly recommend using these as activities during the first week of school to teach expectations. They are also helpful for individual student intervention and review or rule resets.
Each story describes the concepts with simple language and pictures. For each book, there is a large (full-page) version of the story, which is great as a classroom read aloud book, to print or project on your board. There is also a smaller version which works best for take-home books. Students can read, color, and share their new social skills learning with their families!
