Each lesson includes:

• a lesson plan guiding the teacher through everything

The powerpoints teach students what direct and indirect objects are in English, what the pronouns are in Spanish, where they go, there are example sentences, and then students practice rewriting sentences with both pronouns individually and together. The powerpoints all include animation. The notes page for each powerpoint has blanks in it where students have to fill in words from the powerpoint and lines for them to practice rewriting sentences. They can refer back to their Notes later in the class period or a few days later to study!

Activities include:

• write the direct object pronoun for each noun
• identify the direct object in a sentence and write its pronoun
• rewrite sentences, changing the direct object to its pronoun
• translate sentences to Spanish, changing the direct object to its pronoun
• write the indirect object pronoun for people
• identify the indirect object in a sentence and write its pronoun
• choose the sentence that correctly rewrites the original, changing the direct object to its pronoun
• correct errors in sentences with indirect object pronouns
• rewrite sentences, changing the indirect object to its pronoun
• write the indirect object pronoun in sentences that include direct object pronouns
• choose the sentence that correctly rewrites the original, changing both the direct and indirect objects to their pronouns
• rewrite sentences, changing both the direct and indirect objects to their pronouns
• translate sentences to Spanish, changing both the direct and indirect objects to their pronouns

The quiz includes two similar but not identical versions. Both include answer keys. Most vocabulary is travel-related, but the quizzes are Word docs so they are editable.

Quiz format:

• write the direct object pronoun for given nouns
• rewrite the sentence, changing the direct object to its pronoun
• rewrite the sentence, changing both the direct and indirect objects to their pronouns
• translate to Spanish, changing the direct and indirect objects to their pronouns (extra credit)

Format of resources:

• the powerpoints are all saved as .pptx
