In field of 2, identify the word that rhymes with the target word.
Initial Syllable Recognition - 1 page, 6 target initial syllables
In field of 4, identify 2 words that begin with the target syllable.
Missing Syllable Spelling - 1 page, 6 target missing syllables
Fill in 2 blanks with the 2 letters that make up the missing syllable.
Text-to-Self: Out My Window - 1 page
Write a short phrase. Illustrate.
Text-to-Self: What I Want to Be - 1 page
Write a single word response plus a short phrase of explanation. Illustrate.
Categorizing: What goes in a pocket - 1 page
Cut out 5 images. Identify the 3 that would go in a pocket and paste them onto the pocket.
Data Collection - individual - 1 page
Ask 6 classmates to write their name under the snow activity that they prefer. Then graph those 6 responses. Finally, circle the activity that received the most votes.
Data Collection - whole class - 1 page
Print in color. Display on easel pad. Have students write their names under their preferred activity. Discuss as a group. Expand as desired.
