Description
Teaching kindness is indeed a crucial aspect of building a positive and supportive classroom community. By fostering a culture of kindness, students not only learn to treat each other with respect and empathy but also create an environment conducive to effective learning and personal growth. Utilizing these two resources will implicitly teach your students what kindness is, how they can show it on a daily basis, and encourage students to be kind throughout the school year. There are loads of activities included in both of these classroom SEL social emotional learning resources.
Not only is The Spot of Kindness by Diane Alber a great book for back to school, but it is also wonderful for building a positive classroom community. This activity pack has positive posters to remind students of ways they can show kindness daily. There are ideas for a classroom incentive kindness jar as well. Together you can review ways to show kindness with the classroom scenario sort. Also included is a fun be kind spot craft. I can't wait to read this on the first week of school. This unit can be used for distance learning and google classroom with the new TpT digital tool.
