THANKSGIVING

A fun and exciting way to get your students immersed in learning about THE FIRST THANKSGIVING, PILGRIMS, THE MAYFLOWER, AND THE WAMPANOAG. Students will be engaged in the digital activities in which they ARE the PILGRIM in this PAPERLESS GREAT (AMAZING) RACE.

Each student experiences a unique journey as they take on roles and answer questions using Google Forms and linked websites. They must read carefully for details throughout the RIGOROUS reading and listening journey. Comprehension is tested and answering incorrectly will delay the students race to the finish as they are sent back to the beginning to read/listen again for details.

Points are awarded throughout the race for answering/choosing correctly being one of the first 5 to finish a leg. Points are also lost by not answering correctly or being dealt a terrible fate. A paper-based journal is included so students will have a keepsake of their AMAZING RACE.

The first LEG of the race takes about 10 minutes, the remaining 4 legs take about 20-25 minutes. Extend the activity by adding the journal writing, will take about 10 minutes per leg.
