Description
The six-word memoir is a popular project, but without plenty of examples and preparation, it can fall flat with students.
This product includes the following:
• A twenty-five slide Prezi that begins with background and Ernest Hemingway’s famous six-word novel. It covers the basic differences between memoirs and autobiographies then provides ten examples of six-word memoirs. The next slide prompts students to write a short background story for one of the memoirs in the presentation. The Prezi ends by reviewing several points that can help students complete their own six-word memoir.
• A guided notes page that follows the Prezi.
• A teaching guide with suggestions for setting up the lesson, points to make during the Prezi, and ideas for publishing students’ memoirs.
If you’re new to Prezi, prepare to be amazed! Prezi is a web-based presentation tool that is much more dynamic than PowerPoint. A Prezi account is free with a school email. This file includes both a link to the Prezi and the presentation itself. Adobe Flash Player is required.
