Todo sobre mí - Digital Assignment for Heritage Speakers

A Google Slideshow assignment for heritage speakers called Todo sobre mí. Students complete the slideshow about themselves in Spanish. This is a great assignment for getting to know your students at the beginning of the year or semester.

How to use this resource:
- Assign the Google Slideshow to your students in your Learning Management System.

- Have students present their slideshow to the whole class or turn it in digitally and present it to you one-on-one.

I have students present it to me individually by pulling them aside throughout the first weeks of school while the rest of the class is working on an assignment. I ask a student to sit in a chair by my desk as I pull up their slideshow on my computer. I flip through their slides and ask them follow-up questions about their slides, grading their work as I have a little interview with them. These personal interviews help me commit to memory the things I learn about them in their slideshow. I like having these slideshows submitted digitally so I can refer to them later if I forget something about my students.
