- With MY ORIGINAL Literary Speed Dating with Ballads, have students line up in 2 lines (like speed dating) with one side having 1 ballad each and 1 side having any number of the ballad elements based on size. Have students discuss whether the ballad from the partner across from them has the ballad elements they have. Give them a short amount of time to discuss and decide and then have 1 line move down 1 person and repeat as many times as needed (CCSS.ELA.SL.1)
