What educators are saying

These are great for whole group and center time so students can SEE the sequence of steps/directions.
A great resource for supporting the development of executive functioning skills. I have been using it with my students by displaying a limited number of choices for the steps and having them consider which steps/actions are needed to complete a given task.

Description

This set compliments my best seller:Mini Material Posters.

This 37 page PDF contains cards so you can 'show' your students what to do during activities. I use this with my ESL/EFL students and it works wonders. I just explain instructions and hang the cards for reinforcement. I rarely have students ask me "What do I do now?". You'll receive a PDF containing:

-2 different title options ('Instructions' and 'Directions')

-57 large cards (approx. 3" x 7.3")

-57 small cards (approx. 2" x 5")

-Blanks of each size in case you need to make your own

-Numbers 1-12 in case you need to number any activity steps

-Instruction sheet

-TOU

Terms include:

... these are organized a little to avoid a long list! :)

-write, draw, trace, color, erase, record, paint

-highlight, circle, underline, cross off, label, check, match

-number (your paper), letter (your paper), copy

-file (in folder), file (in binder), put in mailbox, turn in

-name, date (2 types), add page #s,

-cut, glue, tape, staple, hole punch, paper clip, fold (2 types)

-measure, tally, solve, graph, count

-read, listen, build, point, cover up

-line up, sit at desk, sit at table, raise hand, sit on rug, wash hands, meet with teacher, play a game, pack up

-centers, unfinished work

I use these when I need to give verbal directions, but would like to reinforce them with visuals. You can use clips to hang them, apply magnetic strips, or place in a pocket chart. Easy!

***TIP: When you go to print, select 'fit to page' if the margins appear too small. It will print on my printer, but some models require a larger margin. ***

All of the graphics were designed by me as well. They are 300 dpi, so they are bright and print beautifully (assuming you have a decent printer).

Please be sure to ask me any questions about this set before purchasing!

I hope you enjoy it!
