Are you looking for no print digital resources to support social language, pragmatic language, and social emotional learning? This deck focuses on teaching the use of common social phrases with visual support. It includes cards to practice a variety of communicative functions such as greetings, initiating, asking questions, making requests, using politeness markers, self advocating, and responding to others. These are important skills to learn both academically and socially. This resource is designed to support speech, language, and social emotional development. This set of Boom cards is perfect for use during distance learning, teletherapy, in person face to face therapy sessions, or even practice at home! A variety of large photos and question prompts will guide your discussions as you talk about each situation. This cooperative activity is appropriate for students with autism spectrum disorders. It is also a good resource for social skills groups or pragmatic language groups.
What's included?
This deck includes 40 Boom Cards containing photos of common scenarios. There are two levels of practice (20 cards for each level). It includes a multiple choice format that is self-checking so students could complete this deck independently. I have also included an open-ended format that uses the same pictures for students who are ready to come up with the answers on their own. Boom cards offer a fun interactive way for students to practice their speech and language skills. There is nothing to print because these digital games are completed online.
