Challenge your students with this fun word game with tiles similar to Scrabble™! Each of these fun and engaging Tile Tangle task cards features 7 letter tiles, each with a traditional Scrabble™ point value.

Students use the tiles to create as many words as possible and then total their points. Older students will only need the cards, but you may want to have real Scrabble™ tiles available for younger students to manipulate. To add differentiation, there are also 7 challenge cards which can be used with any other card in the set. You can even use more than one challenge card at a time. In addition, there are 4 different answer sheets to accommodate all grade levels and abilities.

Teacher Tip

Here’s what teachers are saying:

✏️ "Thank you for this resource! LOVE how open-ended it is! LOVE the fact that it includes a math element when you ask the students to find the value of each of their words. I encouraged students can challenge themselves each day (eg. find at least five words, find a word worth ____ points)." -Janelle B.

✏️ "I was using these with my low reading group (28 students) when the principal came in to observe me. She put away her notes and started to play with the students, and she was smiling. Great purchase and the students love it." -Marjorie C.

✏️ "These are fun and easy for my entire class to play. We try to beat our own record for how many words we can create with each card." -Lauren S.
