TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started my career as a school-based therapist and I now work as an elementary school counselor, focusing on the upper grades.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My classroom lessons and small groups are generally skills-based and I try to incorporate movement and applied practice into each lesson. I am NOT a word search kind of counselor and I only use worksheets when they are truly the best option! My individual work is often cognitive-behavioral, I use a lot of non-therapeutic board games, and I love using my rice tray. My population is diverse (in lots of ways) and I'm grateful to work with so many wonderful kiddos and families
