WUTHERING HEIGHTS - Chart Comparing Two Settings

What better way to delve into WUTHERING HEIGHTS than to compare and contrast Wuthering Heights to Thrushcross Grange! This chart on Excel sets up the compare/contrast between these two settings--settings so powerful that they take on the role of characters in Emily Bronte's masterpiece. This is a 7-page chart because it includes contributions from 4 AP classes. Directions are included at the beginning of the spreadsheet. In all the years I have taught this novel, I have found this to be a ver

I made an easy review for The Scarlet Letter using Google Sheets. One slide on the spreadsheet has the puzzle that I printed for students, and then on the other tab I have the answers. This served as a good review before we took the summative test.

Reading Record Form

This is a great tool for keeping track of the books students read. Each student has their own form, and all forms are kept in a "reading record" binder. The students fill out the form each time they finish a book. They love to receive this form at the end of the year to show-off how much they read. It's also a great reference for you.

Scaled Schedule for 4, 6, 8, & 10 Weeks - Heroes in Literature Unit

Do you wonder how to turn a 4 week unit into an 8 week unit? Or how to go from 8 weeks down to 4? I've created a chart that helped me to scale my Heroes in Literature unit up and down, depending on when I used the unit and what the purpose of the work was. If it was early in the school year, the focus might be pre-assessment of their skills and getting to know your students. This is different than later in the year when we want to focus on skill development.
