This SmartBoard document includes activities that can be done with a whole class, small groups or individual students. I use this smartboard file as a game and/or review to help students understand the concept of subject matter in art.

There are pictures of famous artists' art that they have to drag and place under the correct heading. Then they need to explain why they feel it should go there. Some are a little tricky but, it's perfect for helping students understand what to look for in a work of art.

Composing Do Re Mi with Simple rhythms C D E Boomwhackers - Elementary Music
This resource helps your students create 8- and 16-beat phrase using Do Re and Mi with quarter notes, paired eighth notes, and quarter rests. I have color coordinated the notes to match C, D, and E for boomwhackers. The “infinite cloner” makes it easy to write whatever melody students want and then perform it with ease!

One Little Leprechaun: A Non-Pitched Percussion Listening Game
Oh no! A sneaky Leprechaun has been stealing instruments! It's up to our young students to find them! By clicking on each Leprechaun, students will hear an instrument play. They have to choose which Leprechaun plays the sound that matches the instrument that is missing (shown in the cloud above). Once they have found a match, click on the pot of gold to reveal the missing instrument! If it is correct, the matching instrument will be revealed. If incorrect, another instrument will be revealed.

Beginning blends picture boxes
