What educators are saying

This resource was so awesome for virtual teaching. Lots of fun options to use with the students. They loved it and really grasped the concept.
I’m not ending up using this product but it may work down the road with my students. I still think it’s a 5/5 even if I don’t use it.

Description

This Interactive Google Slides presentation is great for introducing your kindergarteners and 1st grade students to the economic concepts of personal finance. Distinguishing between real world situations of saving and spending and earning at a young age lays a good economic foundation for your student's financial education.

This game could be played whole group as a preview to your personal finance unit, and then whole group again as a review to take anecdotal records. You could also drop it onto your student devices to be used individually or in pairs.

After the introduction and 3 definitions, each slide presents one situation, and the student needs to push the icon for spend or save or earn. The slides are self-correcting, so they must keep trying and get it right before moving on.

Teachers: Please make sure the kids play the game in SLIDESHOW mode, so the links work easily.

Here's what you'll get:

✅ Economic term definitions

✅ 70 interactive google slides

✅ real-life situation examples from primary kids lives

✅ 3 choices each slide

✅ each slide is self-correcting

✅ 2 different response sheets

✅ student response cards

You will love:

❤️ the ease of dropping this game on your student devices

❤️ using as a pre-test or exit ticket

❤️ including some extra fun into your economics unit

This game is part of a bundle.

This product was created to cover the National Curriculum Standards for Social Studies (NCSS).

Learners in the early grades will understand:

• how economic behavior incentives affect people’s behavior;

•The characteristics and function of money and its uses;

•Various organizations that help people achieve their individual economic goals;

•The characteristics of a market economy;

•To participate in a simulated classroom economic system;

•Designing and using classroom currency, demonstrating the functions of money;

I had a great time making this resource. I think it's so important to start young with teaching kids to understand choices with their money.
