Description
In this small group (or independent) project, students research and calculate the cost of owning a pet. Math skills used include adding, multiplying and dividing whole numbers, decimals, and/or fractions. Writing skills and critical thinking is integrated by having student choose what items to purchase, where to purchase them at the best cost, and create reasons to persuade Patrick's parents to allow him to get a pet.
