    Description

    This unique resource lays out 170 days for all units of Ancient World History with daily warmups, ideas for each lesson, and a culminating exit question on beautifully designed slides. It will save you tons of time AND keep you on track with your content. There are 4 bonus resources added, too!

    Unit and lesson planning is EXTREMELY time-consuming and very stressful – especially if you teach more than 1 course! And, it’s easy to get writer’s block: What should I cover, how deep, and what’s the best way to teach it? This product is designed to make the process nearly effortless.

    For each day there are 3 slides:

    Slide 1- Objective and Do Now-Bell ringer-warmup-whatever you call it :-)

    Slide 2- Suggestions for the lesson and (sometimes) links to videos and resources for the topic

    Slide 3- Exit ticket

    And It’s all editable, including both PowerPoint and Google Slides

    Units covered:

    => Prehistory (17 days)

    => River Valley Civilizations (22 days)

    => Classical Civilizations (24 days)

    => Belief Systems (11 days)

    => Byzantine Empire (9 days)

    => Islamic Civilization & the Mongols (8 days)

    => African Kingdoms (10 days)

    => Middle Ages(15 days)

    => Ming Dynasty & Ottoman Empire (9 days)

    => Renaissance & Protestant Reformation (13 days)

    => Mesoamerica (6 days)

    => Age of Exploration (8 days)

    => Age of Absolutism (9 days)

    => Scientific Rev. &

    => Enlightenment (9 days)

    It’s like ALMOST buying a complete done-for-you curriculum at a fraction of the price (30 cents a day). You get everything except the finished activity for the lesson. And if you don't like a particular Do Now, lesson idea, or Exit ticket no big deal; change it -- it only cost 30 cents. You can't lose!

    My thinking is that many teachers have their own style, and every student body is so different that teachers usually need to edit ready-made stuff anyway. This way you get the bones of each lesson and just add your personal touch.

    BONUS #1

    Is a daily pacing guide that has 4 columns:

    1. The day of the school year

    2. The unit

    3. The topic for the day

    4. Blank column for your personal notes

    It’s 170 days of topics you can print out or keep digital. The average school year is 180 days. That allows for 10 days of absences, school trips, state tests, etc. A recurring challenge for history teachers is getting through all the content they need to cover. This pacing guide will hold your hand, helping to keep you on track.

    And It’s all editable, including both PowerPoint and Google Slides

    BONUS #2

    A review board game. there's 1 done-for-you for African Civilizations and a blank version to use with any unit. Students can create their own games or you can do it for them.

    BONUS #3

    Four-Corner Debate lesson (1 done-for-you on civil rights, plus a blank version to make your own

    BONUS #4

    Student Choice Tic-Tac-Toe Activity

    Students choose any 3 in a row to complete.

    A generic done-for-you AND blank make-your-own

    Print AND Digital versions
