These word problem task cards provide students with a great review of basic addition and subtraction word problems. The best part? They're SCARECROW themed!! :)

One of the biggest challenges for my students right now is choosing the correct (and easiest) operation in a word problem. These fun and engaging task cards have students thinking about which operation to use, either subtraction or addition.

Included are 10 task cards. Using addition or subtraction, students will find the answer, and write this on their recording sheet.

Addition and subtraction are up to the thousands place.

The addition problems do ask students to carry.

Subtraction problems do NOT include regrouping.
