This Alice Paul activity is part of an exciting new project designed to increase diverse voices in Social Studies classrooms. This Alice Paul activity is a 3-part web quest. In Part 1 (READ), students engage with the history of Alice Paul's life, from her youth to her crucial role in leading women's suffragette movement toward the passage of the 19th amendment (and her work toward the Equal Rights Amendment, the ERA, after the 19th amendment). Part 2 (WATCH) is a short video that students watch to reaffirm Alice Paul's life, heroism, and sacrifice in American History. In Part 3 (INTERPRET), students engage in a primary source analysis related to Alice Paul's life!
