Description

This set aligns to civics standards for Georgia 5th grade social studies, and will likely work for other states/grades.

The first worksheet/activity involves having students cut and paste the steps of the amendment process, reflect on it, and write a short poem or rap about it.

The second sheet is for the 5th amendment/due process: It has info about what due process it that students then write and draw in their own interpretation of the process, reflect on it, and analyze two due process situations.

The final sheet organizes and categorizes amendments with a venn diagram to organize the "democracy amendments" -12th and 17th amendments.

A chain of events organizer to represent and organize the "Civil Rights amendments"- 13th-15th

and a paragraph to analyze the similarities within the "voting amendments"- 15th, 19th, 23rd, 24th, 26th

This is great for centers, assessment, and graphic organizers or note taking. Enjoy!
