Description
Three ready-made documents to help you teach annotated bibliographies to your high school students.
The first is an editable Google Doc that shows an annotated bibliography in MLA format, including the header and page number on the top right, name, teacher name, class, and date on the top left, title, and then the MLA citation and the 3 paragraphs required in an annotated bibliography. The paragraphs are color coded. This has been extremely helpful to show my students what their annotated bibliography is supposed to look like.
The second is a straightforward template in MLA format where students can "plug and play" with their information. It also includes the specific information required in the 3 paragraphs to help students as they begin writing.
The third is a detailed rubric that is also an editable Doc where you can use as is or to update to your specific requirements. It includes the quality of sources found, correct formatting, content of the paragraphs, and the quality of the writing.
These can be used for any topic and are a great basis to start your students' annotated bibliography project.
