Description
Take your kids on a virtual field trip to Zoo Atlanta:
- exposure to a zoo
- feed curiosity
- engage them in learning
This zoo field trip is complete. It is filled with real pictures and videos taken by me. It is full of facts about each animal's habitat, diet, fun facts and more!
The field trip is broken into different sections of the zoo and students "follow" the map to take them to different parts of the zoo:
Students will experience:
Africa Savanna: Southern White Rhino, Elephant, African Lion, Plains Zebra,
African Rainforest: Crowned Lemurs, Western Lowland Gorilla, Drill, Angolan Colobus Monkey, Bornean Orangutan,
Asian Forest: Giant Panadas, Naked Mole Rat, Sumatran Tiger, Sun Bears, Patagonian Mara
Reptiles: Komodo Dragon, Viper, Crocodile, Alligator Snapping Turtle, Clouded Rock Iguana
Birds: Wrinkled and Southern Ground Hornbill, Chilean Flamingo, Indian Peafowl, Blue Crane, Bald Eagle, Golden Pheasant and Speckled Pigeon
Activities are also throughout the field trip. Students reflect on what they've learned, consider what they want to learn more about, write answers throughout the presentation.
Ideas for use:
- Assign it individually or in partners through Google Classroom
- Experience it whole group on an interactive board and have class discussions
