Author's Purpose Bundle
Description
This activity is designed to teach the skill “Author’s Purpose”. This is best used to introduce the skill, use as a station, or as an intervention. There are many differentiated options and this activity can be used with grades 3-6, depending on your group.

Author’s purpose sort
Task Cards with passages to determine author’s purpose
Fill in the blank- students are given a picture, and need to come up with a short writing piece that demonstrates examples of persuading, informing, and entertaining their readers.
*Laminate and make into reusable mats or copy and use as worksheets. We use them both ways!
