Description

Students will love this story problem, which first asks them to read a brief story, collect the data needed, and then to create a bar graph based on this information.

After creating their bar graph, students will answer multiple questions based on the information. There are direct questions from the graph, as well as a few extended questions based on third and fourth grade common core standards (double digit times double digit multiplication).

As well as this activity, students are also given a blank page where they can create their own bar graph story problem. In the packet, it is explained that students can write their story and then have a friend create a bar graph based on the information.
