Black History Month Flip Book: A Comprehension by Color Interactive Activity

This Flip Book includes information about five African Americans who helped pave the way for those to follow. Of course there are others who helped fight for freedom, equality, and fairness, however these are five people that students enjoy learning about.

The second page of this Flip Book gives students directions on how to use colored pencils or crayons to help comprehend what they are reading.

Students are asked to complete the following on each of the pages:
*Underline in Green = 2 interesting facts about the historical figure.
*Circle in Red = unknown words in the passage.
*Box in Blue = important dates and what happened on those dates.
*Underline in Orange = What the person is most famous for accomplishing.
