Description
Inspired by Serial or Up and Vanished podcasts? Want to get your students writing their own podcast? Help them write a mystery story by using this structure lesson, specifically designed for planning and creating a podcast.
Creating a murder mystery podcast helps students to think in different perspectives, work collaboratively, plan and structure engaging mysteries, and improve their speaking and listening skills.... AND all that is before they even start the process of editing and collating their work!
My students worked in groups of 3-5 to do this task as they need enough voices to create their podcast at the end of the unit. It could easily be done individually though, the students would just need to rope some friends and family into reading some parts for the podcast.
