Description
You can harness the power of your daily calendar routines to help students master CC Math Standards by using these pages as either notebooks or binder sheets. Calendar binders bring calendar routines alive and relevant to all the kids in the circle, not just the daily leader, as every student is working to complete their own page.
Enhance your calendar routines. Each month includes:
✓ Optional Monthly Cover
✓ Finding the date on the calendar and number line
✓ Writing the date
✓ Representing numbers 1-31 with ten frame, tally marks, or otherwise
✓ Adding on 1 & 2, subtracting 1 & 2
✓ Adding on or subtracting 1 & 2 with known sum
✓ Identifying & writing today and tomorrow
✓ Name and number of days in week and month
✓ Days in school, 1-200, represented in ten frames
✓ Goal setting by writing “Today’s Plan”
You select any or all sheets for each month; sheets can be repeated as many times as desired within one month. You may want to start the school year using these pages as a large group calendar task, particularly for kindergarten age children. If first-grade students are using the pages as individual morning work or as a math station, sheets can be differentiated for specific groups.
Notebooks: You print the sheets you want for the month or year for student packets or notebooks.
Binders: Today’s sheet is distributed to children and they add this to their binder at the end of calendar time.

K.CC.A.1 Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
