What educators are saying

This was the perfect resource to teach the students about the APA and MLA citations and to know the differences. This was very clear to them Very easy to understand and the students enjoyed them very well.

Description

This digital resource is a mini-lesson in referencing sources using MLA and APA formats.

It is in Google Slides format that serves as an interactive webquest. There are slides that students answer questions, click on a video source to watch, and an article to read and properly cite.

This (no-prep!) resource can be used as a teacher-led lesson with interactive components or a fully independent student lesson/assignment.

Many slides are editable.

Students will ..

  1. Define Primary and Secondary sources
  2. Understand why referencing is needed
  3. Differentiate between MLA and APA formats
  4. Distinguish between reliable and bias sources
  5. Practice locating the title, author, website, url of an article
  6. Practice writing in-text citations and reference entries in MLA and APA

Great for media/library classes, Social Studies, English, and Science courses!
