Description

In this Cultural Revolution in China primary source analysis activity, students examine 6 primary source accounts to investigate three overarching questions on the Cultural Revolution in China. Through a variety of perspectives, students understand the influence of Mao Zedong, the role of students in launching the revolution, and the horrific impact the Cultural Revolution had in China. As students examine all six accounts, an engaging organizer will assist students in documenting relevant information as they seek to answer the following questions:

1.) What was the Cultural Revolution?

2.) Why (and how) did people support the Revolution?

3.) How did it impact the population?
