Description
Are you looking for real-world, authentic service-learning projects for your high school students without sacrificing more of your time directing the experience or pulling materials together?
This mini-bundle offers ready-made materials for student-led service-learning projects that revolve around local, national, or global current events.
Step 1: Each student or small group of students chooses a current event as the focus of their learning experience. They learn the details of the current event using the current events project-based learning resource included in this bundle.
Step 2: Then students design, manage and execute service-learning projects related to the current event that they've already explored using the service-learning project tool kit included in this bundle.
The tool kits included in this bundle apply to all subjects, topics, standards, etc. They are tool kits that are meant to be customized for all high school curricula.
This experience is a great way for high school students to develop essential 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical thinking, researching, understanding a variety of perspectives, etc.
