DIGITAL Greek Mythology Escape Room: Boom Cards

This interactive Greek Mythology Challenge on the BOOM Learning website is an engaging way to study four Greek myths.

Students will watch an introductory video with a talking avatar. The video will set up the scenario. The students traveled back in time to ancient Greece. Unfortunately, the return passcode phrase has been lost. Luckily, clues for the passcode phrase were hidden there on a previous trip.

Working independently, students will be visiting four investigation sites to collect the clues to unlock the code. Directions are provided at each investigation site. Each site requires students to read a one-page myth. As directed, they will decode a message at each site. The decoding process involves proving story comprehension. One codeword will be collected at each site.

→ The 12 Labors of Heracles

→ Pandora's Box

→ Theseus & The Minotaur

HOW MUCH TIME WILL THIS TAKE TO COMPLETE?

That will vary for every classroom. Generally speaking, the entire activity should take about an hour.

Example Timeline:

10 minutes for introduction & questions

30 minutes for the actual challenge activity

10 minutes to complete reflection questions

10 minutes to discuss reflection questions
