What educators are saying

I love this resource so much that I just hat to and buy the full year's supply! My middle school students love doing these questions.
This is a great bell ringer tool to use for any US History class. My students love the daily guessing and the new things they learn every day about what has happened each day.

Description

Daily Warmups & Bell Ringers for American History! On This Day in OCTOBER!

In this daily warmup, daily trivia, and bell ringer product for American History, you receive 31 daily warmups for the month of OCTOBER! Each short activity is designed to start class each day, and each warmup is focused on a historical event that happened on each day during the month of OCTOBER!

Questions are focused mainly on topics studied during early and modern American History courses. While all questions are historical in nature, 80% of questions deal with American History content (for example, famous people, events, etc.), 20% deal with a "people's history" (music, entertainment, sports, etc.). A key is included for each question as well!

Here are few sample questions from this set of "On This Day" activities:

★ On this date (October 7) in 1763,  King George III issued a “proclamation” that closed lands in North America west of the Appalachian Mountains to settlers.  This outraged colonists since a major reason they fought with Britain in the French and Indian War was for land. What was the name of this Proclamation?

★ On this day (October 11) in 1884, the longest-serving First Lady of the United States was born.  She held the post from 1933 to 1945 during her husband President Franklin D. Roosevelt's four terms in office. President Harry S. Truman later called her the "First Lady of the World" in tribute to her human rights achievements.  Who is this?

★ It was on this day (October 21) in 1967, when more than 100,000 war protesters gathered in Washington, DC. for a peaceful rally at the Lincoln Memorial. What war were they protesting?

This product is sold in PowerPoint format, and a Google Slide presentation is also included in this purchase if you prefer this method!
