Description
This state research project is a great way to help students research in a very organized way, with an end goal of creating a printable brochure with the researched information. Students begin by researching a state, while finding specific information to help them with their brochure.
The kids will use Google Slides to insert their thoughts, ideas, and pictures that answer each of the questions listed in the project. Students go through the process of researching and placing this into the organizers. At the end of the project, students compile this info into the brochure, which includes step-by-step directions. Students (or you) can then print the final two pages to create a brochure about the state.
Slides included:
*KWL
*Fun Facts
*Tourism
*Geography
*Questions about the state
*Other important information about the state.
DIRECTIONS to share with students:
- Open up the file. This will automatically copy to your Google Drive.
- Open your Google Classroom.
- Click on "Coursework" at the top of the page. Then "Create."
- Create an assignment, giving this a title and a description.
- Now select the Google Drive icon on the bottom left corner.
- Select the "State Research Project" from the documents.
- Before sharing, click the small drop down arrow on the right side of the document. Click "create a copy for each student." This will ensure that all students receive their own copy of this document.
- Have students go to Google Classroom and they will see their very own copy of the project. They can open this copy and they will be able to begin working without impacting your original file.
Enjoy!
